This year the Southampton boat show saw a fresh approach from Blue water,as
we moved to a smaller stand, and for the first time in 5 years, we had a
boat on the marina.

The weather proved to be very kind as ever, we had lots of sunshine with
only one morning of rain.

Moving into a more central location within the Solent Park area meant we had
to downsize our stand from the normal 5 boats to 2, being the 215SSi and the
276SSX bowrider. Having the 280 Signature on the marina,still gave us a good
range. But now we were in a much better position, being in the shadows of
the, very busy Sunseeker stand, giving us much more footfall.

The Chaparral 276SSX, proved to be very popular and created lots of interest
at the show, this model will prove to be very sought after as orders are
already flooding in. This particular 276 was the first of the new SSX range
for 2007. the already popular 256 and 236 get the same SSX treatment,
although still being available as the SSi, SSX features include new aft sun
lounge with transom storage, and a triple position seat for versatility,
larger, more functional cockpit galley, and a much sportier helm station.
All 3 models are on order and will be in the showroom soon.

The 280 Signature was again a big hit, even being stuck on her own, down on
the marina. Chaparral are now fitting the Mercruiser ES200 diesel engines at
the factory, coupled to the bravo 3 drives, this is a winning formula, and
the boat will comfortably see 45mph. The 280 is still available with the
very sought after Mercruiser 1.7 diesel option, and now with the Volvo Penta
D3.

All in all we had a successful show with sales finishing at just over
£200.000 and lots of good leads to get stuck into.

We are already well under way with preparations for the 2007 London boat
show, which starts on the 5th of January, we will have the 215 and the 236
SSi, the all new 255 SSX and 275 SSi cuddy cabin, and the 280 Signature. The
show runs for the normal 10 days finishing on Sunday the 15th.
